With the support of many enterprises, the fund-raising amount of the U.S. pavilion has exceeded US $61 million, and the opening and operation of the U.S. pavilion has no problem at all.
As a reward to the sponsors, a "wall of honor" will be set up at the entrance of the U.S. Pavilion, which will be decorated with the logo of the sponsoring enterprise to show its gratitude and respect.
The roof of the U.S. pavilion also has its own characteristics - "roof City farm" is a portrayal of future urban life. Urban life produces a large amount of garbage. If organic waste is put on the roof, the heating system in winter will make the roof very hot. These heat energy can promote the decomposition of waste and produce good soil. Residents can use this soil to grow vegetables and fruits, create a city farm, and experience the fun of being a "city farmer".
Yu Tianmu, deputy general representative of the U.S. Pavilion and director of the Cultural Information Department of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, said that the appearance of the U.S. Pavilion is like a flying eagle, and the roof garden in the pavilion is like a huge eagle nest. So they like the name "Eagle's nest." of course, the inspiration comes from Beijing's "bird's nest."
Winslow, CEO of the U.S. Pavilion, said that the pavilion will open a door to the United States and tell stories full of American flavor in a creative way. This "American tour" is made up of four exhibition halls in series. It brings visitors 45 minutes of "American experience" through multimedia display and interaction.
Visitors first enter the prelude Hall: welcome to the United States and demonstrate that the United States is a country of exotic culture and geographical wonders. Then came the first act: "the American spirit.". There are three large screens in this exhibition hall to show all kinds of Americans. The second act, called "garden", tells the story of a little girl who moved her neighbors with her determination and true feelings, and finally they all worked together to build a beautiful home. The third act, called opportunities and innovation, describes how Americans can make their communities healthier and more diverse. It is worth mentioning that many celebrities will appear here: "to be sure, NBA stars will be there!"
The U.S. Pavilion is designed and built with a service life of 1000 years. After the Expo, it can be moved to other places, such as a community.
