On May 16, people from all walks of life from industry, academia and government agencies in Nagasaki Prefecture of Japan gathered together to hold the "Medical Tourism Promotion Association". To explore the combination of medical care and tourism to attract more East Asian tourists to Nagasaki. At present, China's affluent class mainly seek high-level medical services overseas. This paper discusses how to build a mechanism to meet the needs of tourists in Nagasaki county.
The meeting was initiated by Professor of digestive organ transplantation surgery, Graduate School of Nagasaki University, Nagasaki Nagasaki, director of Medical School of Nagasaki University, and President of Nagasaki Institute of Commerce and industry, Takeo Matsumoto. In his speech, huisan Ueda, President of the Association for the promotion of medical tourism, expressed his expectation for the outcome of the conference. "If Nagasaki's unique tourism resources can be combined with medical services, it will certainly play an important role in the revitalization of regional economy.".
The head of the Ministry of economy, industry and industry said that the relevant authorities are negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on whether medical stay visa can be issued for patients who need long-term hospitalization. Xianya xijianzao, a representative of the medical sector and from Qianye County, took an example to illustrate the possibility of combining medical services with tourism industry. He said that in January, Nagasaki opened a medical tourism experience activity. Taking Chinese tourists who participated in the activity as an example, "it doesn't take a long time to check and diagnose, and there are no accidents, and Chinese guests are amazed by our high-quality service.". But at the same time, President Xianya xijianzao also expressed his concern that "if a large number of tourists who need medical services are attracted to come, there may be accidents caused by inconvenient external factors such as visa".
Mian yuan Fukuoka, a member of the house of representatives in charge of the coordinator, said that in the future, a comprehensive survey will be conducted in hospitals in the county to find out whether it is possible to receive overseas tourists for diagnosis and treatment, and to investigate the needs of Asian countries in terms of medical tourism.
